Paedophile had price list he would send girls alongside his disgusting requests
Thomas Davies, 25, of Ashville, Oakdale in Blackwood offered a 16-year-old money for her to remove her top

A paedophile offered a 16-year-old girl money to remove her top over a video call but she feared he had recorded the footage after he blocked her on social media. When police visited his home, he was found in possession of child abuse videos and images.

Thomas Davies, 25, of Blackwood, messaged his victim on TikTok under the name XBoxBroBrowse23 in October 2023, and asked her to speak with him on Snapchat. When she didn't respond, he kept messaging her with question marks until she responded.

A sentencing hearing at Cardiff Crown Court on Friday heard Davies engaged in small talk with the victim and she told him she was 16-years-old.

He asked her if they could speak over a video call and when she saw the defendant on camera, he was lying on a bed with his head out of shot.

Prosecutor Kathryn Lane said Davies told the girl she was "pretty" and liked her nails, but he then placed his hands into his pants and began to masturbate.

He asked the victim to remove her top and said he would pay her, but she refused. He asked her to take off her bra, but she said she wouldn't do that

The defendant kept asking, and then asked the victim to show her feet and to spit, which she did.

At that point, Davies removed his bed blanket and the victim could see his erect penis.

He continued to ask her to take off her top, and she did but covered her chest with her jumper.

The defendant then ended the call and blocked the victim on TikTok and Snapchat.

She was concerned he had recorded the video call and contacted the police and National Crime Agency.

The Snapchat account was linked to the defendant and police visited his home and seized his electronic devices.

On his phone, police discovered five category A indecent images of girls and boys being sexually abused, and a category B image.

There were also thousands of chats across several social media platforms where he was talking to young girls, and asking for videos and images in exchange for payment.

Police also discovered a price list or crib sheet the defendant would send to girls, which included lists of prices for "services" he wanted.

Davies, of Ashville, Oakdale, later pleaded guilty to paying for the sexual services of a girl aged 16, and making indecent images.

The court heard he has a previous conviction for blackmail, from Bulford Military Court, which resulted in his dismissal from HM Forces.

The defendant offered to pay a woman £400 to video herself performing oral sex upon her boyfriend. She did so but Davies refused to pay her and demanded more money or he would send the video to her family and friends.

In mitigation, Pamela Kaiga said her client is still a young man and has never been to prison before. She said the defendant has been in contact with the Lucy Faithfull Foundation and hopes to find employment in the army following his release from prison.

Sentencing, Judge Lucy Crowther said: "You have shown no understanding of the impact this behaviour has on others at all."

Davies was sentenced to 16 months imprisonment and was made subject to sex offender notification requirements of 10 years.

A request was made to Gwent Police for a custody photo of the defendant but this was declined.
