Police Break Open Secure Container and Discover Major Haul Inside
'Laughing gas' was seized after men were spotted acting suspiciously - a secure container is cut into

Police in Bangor uncovered a significant stash of nitrous oxide after breaking into a secure storage container during a routine patrol.

Officers stopped two males acting suspiciously on Thursday, leading to the discovery of the locked unit. Inside, they found a large quantity of nitrous oxide canisters — commonly known as laughing gas — along with a substantial amount of cash.

A North Wales Police spokesperson said:

“Officers from Rota 1 were out on routine patrol when their attention was drawn to two males acting in suspicious circumstances. Their swift action led to the arrest of two males, aged 17 and 20, on suspicion of drug supply offences and burglary.”

Further enquiries led officers to the secure container, where the haul was recovered.

Police described the find as a “significant haul of nitrous oxide off the streets of Bangor – far from a laughing matter.”

Both suspects remain under investigation.
