Teacher Arrested After Alleged Sexual Assault of Multiple Pupils at Wisconsin High School
A special‑education teacher in Wisconsin appeared visibly distressed in her booking photo after being arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting several students at the school where she worked.
22‑year‑old Nadia M. Horn, a staff member at North High School in Eau Claire, was taken into custody after a colleague reported concerns about an inappropriate relationship between her and a student. Police say multiple potential victims have now been identified.
Lieutenant Mark Pieper confirmed Horn was arrested on charges of sexual assault of a child by a school staff member and second‑degree sexual assault of a child, adding that investigators are still working to determine the full extent of the case.
According to Eau Claire Police, the investigation began on March 25, 2026, when the school district alerted the School Resource Officer at North High School to a possible inappropriate relationship. Officers gathered evidence that led to Horn’s arrest. She was transported to Eau Claire County Jail and is awaiting her initial court appearance. She has not yet entered a plea.
School District Responds
In a letter to families, Eau Claire Area School District Superintendent Mike Johnson described the allegations as “deeply troubling.”
> “We kindly request that the school community respect the privacy of our students and their families and refrain from spreading rumours or speculation,” he wrote, adding that student support services are available for anyone affected.
The district said it cannot answer further questions due to the ongoing police investigation and encouraged anyone with information to contact Eau Claire Police.
Police Praise School Resource Officer
Lieutenant Pieper highlighted the crucial role of the school resource officer in uncovering the alleged offences.
> “The role of a school resource officer is about relationship‑building within the school,” he said.
> “Without those partnerships, we wouldn’t receive nearly the amount of information that we do. SROs build trust with staff and students alike.”
Horn remains in custody as the investigation continues.
