Week-long road closure notice for main road in village for Openreach civil works
A week-long traffic disruption is expected in Rhiwfawr.
Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council has given notice of a temporary road closure to allow civil engineering works by Openreach.
The works will take place over one week, starting on February 16.
Rhiw Road will be closed from the junction with Heol Y Goedlan, heading east for 220 metres.
A diversion route will be in place for all vehicles, directing them along Heol Y Goedlan, Gwrhyd Road, Coedffaldau Road, Bryn Road, the A4068 Gwilym Road, New Road, Heol Gwys, Heol Gleien and Rhiwfawr Road.
This diversion will operate in both directions.
Access for emergency services and the public will be maintained.
The council notice states that while the order allows for the road to remain closed for a maximum of 18 months, the work is expected to be completed within 1 week.
