Wales press conference: Huge fitness boost announced ahead of England match
Wales players in training

Wales have announced every single player is fit and available to face England, with Steve Tandy informing his squad of his selection for the Six Nations opener.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, assistant coach Danny Wilson said the coaches have been hugely impressed with the players in training, insisting they are building towards causing an upset at some stage.

Wilson said: "This group, I’ve been amazed. They’re a fantastic group of players. There’s a few different players from the autumn. What we’re trying to create has come through and they’re so passionate about winning for Wales. We’re getting a step closer to that place where the results take care of themselves.

"I feel if we can stay focused on what we need to, which is focusing on our game model, we can build towards those upsets. I think we are building towards that. Right now, we wouldn’t be favourites, but this group is capable. We showed glimpses in the autumn. There’s areas we’ve built on. What we’re trying to do here is different to what’s gone. Building from the base is important."

England: Freddie Steward; Immanuel Feyi-Waboso, Tommy Freeman, Fraser Dingwall, Henry Arundell; George Ford, Alex Mitchell; Ellis Genge, Jamie George (c), Joe Heyes, Alex Coles, Ollie Chessum, Guy Pepper, Sam Underhill, Ben Earl.

Replacements: Luke Cowan-Dickie, Bevan Rodd, Trevor Davison, Maro Itoje, Tom Curry, Henry Pollock, Ben Spencer, Marcus Smith.
