Two men charged with theft of a van and machinery worth more than £100k
Police searched for the moist wanted people in Cardiff

Two men have been charged with theft of a van and machinery worth more than £100k as police crack down on criminals, arresting 32 people in one day. Officers from South Wales Police took to the streets of Cardiff and Barry on Thursday, January 15 with the aim of tracking down the people wanted by the force and bringing them into custody.

With arrests in Splott, Cathays, Cardiff Bay, Cathays, Ely, Fairwater, Llanishen, Llanedeyrn, Roath and Barry, 32 people were arrested for a range of offences and six of them were recalled to prison.

Arrests were for a variety of offences including theft, assault, rape, possession of offensive weapon, domestic violence, wanted on warrant, criminal damage, and harassment.

Amongst the arrests was Kevin Price, 44, and Christopher Price, 47, from Splott who then appeared in Cardiff Magistrates’ Court today (Friday, January 16) and have been remanded in custody

The pair were charged with theft of a van and machinery, including a tree chipper, worth more than £100k.

Christopher Price was charged with three counts of theft and one count of attempt theft after allegedly stealing a tree chipper, a Ford Transit van, a generator, and welding equipment.

Kevin Price is charged with one count of theft relating to the Ford Transit.
