Strictly Finalist Clashes With Co-Star After ‘Horrific’ Swipe
George wasn't sure what to make of his co-star's slight

BBC Strictly Come Dancing finalist George Clarke became embroiled in a tense confrontation on game show The Wheel, with the footage due to air this weekend.

The Michael McIntyre-hosted contest features contestants navigating through various categories on a rotating wheel alongside seven celebrity specialists. With every turn, a famous face is selected to assist with answering a question.

Nevertheless, the spin could also signal the conclusion of the competition, as each round sees at least one celebrity 'shut down' on the wheel and highlighted in red. Should they be the one selected, the contestant is eliminated from the game, leaving it to fortune whether they or the remaining two participants awaiting their turn will have the opportunity to claim the prize money.

This Saturday evening (December 20), the programme will broadcast at the delayed slot of 9.10pm owing to the extended Strictly Come Dancing finale. One of the finalists, YouTuber George, will feature as one of the seven celebrity participants on the show, reports the Mirror.

Nevertheless, in a sneak peek of the episode provided to Pulse Media, the online content creator finds himself in conflict with comedian Ellie Taylor following the selection of the 'Australian men' category - for which she serves as the specialist.

"Ellie, I think this is one of the funniest categories that we've had here on The Wheel," presenter Michael announced before enquiring: "So when you think of Australian men outside of your husband, what's popping to mind?"

Ellie responded that "mullets" were a significant element of Australian culture, before realising that her fellow celebrity expert, George, was actually sporting a mullet himself.

Nevertheless, she voiced her distaste for the hairstyle and answered "Absolutely not" when questioned about whether her husband had one.

"Absolutely not to the mullet question, I'm right here," George commented. Michael then intervened, stating: "You're sitting next to somebody with a mullet.

"I didn't pass judgement on it," Ellie protested, but Michael swiftly countered: "No you did, in the way you said 'Absolutely not'."

Ellie eventually admitted: "Well I did, I did. It's horrific, it's a crime," whilst gesturing towards George, who pulled a face in response.

The Wheel airs at the later time of 9.10pm on Saturday night
