Police issue major update after suspected stabbing in Welsh village
A man has been arrested after a suspected stabbing in a Welsh village. Police were called to an address in Ruler Way in Treforest, near Pontypridd, on Monday afternoon. A 23-year-old man was taken to hospital where his condition was described as stable.
Police launched an investigation and confirmed on Tuesday that a 36-year-old man from Beddau has been arrested.
A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: “Following a reported stabbing at an address on Ruler Way, Treforest, Pontypridd on Monday (December 9) afternoon a 36-year-old man from Beddau has been arrested.
He has been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 – wounding with intent and is currently in police custody.
"A 23-year-old from Treforest was taken to hospital, where their condition is currently described as stable.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact us online or by calling 101, quoting 2500388892."
