'I checked son's baby monitor and what I witnessed stopped me in my tracks'

Many parents utilise baby monitors at home to keep a watchful eye on their little ones, but occasionally they can observe something entirely unexpected when they glance at the screen. One mum knows this all too well after she was taken aback by what she saw whilst checking on her child, and she was so floored that she felt compelled to share her experience with others.

Reagan Chan, who shares content under the name The Chan Family on TikTok, recently disclosed what transpired by posting a video which subsequently went viral. Whilst parenting is full of surprises, there are certain things that people simply don't anticipate.

This isn't the first instance of someone discussing the use of baby monitors either. A few years ago, another mum shared her horror after using this technology.

Reagan uploaded the video with the caption: "POV: What the baby monitor sees every night", and the footage has left viewers stunned. In fact, it's since been watched over 40,000 times as people are captivated by the unfolding events.

The video then shows the toddler throughout the night, adopting a variety of positions. At one stage, he appears to be exercising before he dangles over the side of his bed.

He's also observed moving around during the night, and sleeping on various items in the room. It reaches a point where he even manages to fall asleep on the floor following all the activity.

The video is so outrageous and amusing that viewers couldn't resist reaching out to Reagan with their comments. It appears that infants truly do engage in all sorts of antics when no one's watching.

One individual joked: "How'd you become an Olympic gymnast?' Well, my mum let me stay up all night practicing in my room as a kid'."

Another queried: "So, do you just let him be all night or do you pop in there once in a while and get him to sleep?" To which Reagan responded: "He usually goes to bed by himself pretty fast."

A third commented: "They say when a baby goes through sleep regression it's because they are gaining a new skill. Clearly this one craves gymnastics."

Meanwhile, a fourth remarked: "You know, as long as he's quiet and not hurting himself, I don't see the issue." Another added: "Can't wait to see him in the Olympics."

It's safe to say many people, including Reagan, were taken aback after viewing the footage. Several were astounded by what they witnessed.

Audiences believe he has a future in gymnastics, and were left utterly amazed. One even questioned what his parents were feeding him given his seemingly boundless energy.

Someone quipped: "I've heard of sleep walking before but never sleep gymnastics." Another also observed: "Honestly, I love that he has a way to tire himself out by himself at night, and then can go right back to sleep when he's ready."
