M&M Chocolate Recall

A batch of M&M’s Pipoca (popcorn flavour) has been urgently recalled after it was found to contain peanuts and gluten, with the possibility of barley, rye and wheat — none of which are listed on the UK label.

The product was originally manufactured for the Brazilian market and sold in the UK with added stickers. All 35g packs, across all batch codes and best‑before dates, are affected.

The Food Standards Agency warned the chocolate poses a serious risk to anyone with peanut or gluten‑related allergies, or coeliac disease.

Consumers are advised:

- Do not eat the product  

- Return it to the store for a full refund, with or without a receipt  

Turkey Breast Pastrami Recall

Gilbert’s Turkey Breast Pastrami (142g) has been withdrawn after tests detected Listeria monocytogenes.

Listeria symptoms can resemble flu — including fever, muscle aches, nausea and diarrhoea — but in rare cases can lead to serious complications such as meningitis.

Affected packs:

Consumers should not eat the product and should return it for a refund.

Smyths Toys Recall Over Asbestos Risk

Seven toys sold at Smyths Toys have been pulled from shelves after concerns that the sand‑like material inside may contain small quantities of asbestos.

- Clean the area using wet cloths to avoid dust  

- Wear gloves and a mask  

- Double‑bag the sand, gloves, mask and cloths  

- Keep all materials away from children

The 56-year-old, who became a grandmother for the second time in September, has caught the eye with her new look, with many of her social media followers claiming she looks like a different person after she posted a series of photos online of her posing in various figure-hugging, sleeveless outfits.

As well as a youthful new appearance, Brady now also looks noticeably slimmer to how she did during previous series of The Apprentice, leading some viewers to question whether she had started using a weight-loss drug like Ozempic

However, the TV personality has denied those claims and insists that her weight loss is the result of hard work, while she has also credited her new look to a skin-tightening treatment on her arms, which she says has transformed her confidence.

Her daughter Sophia Peschisolido welcomed her first child, Leo, with her fiancé Frankie Makin in March 2024, while she gave birth to a second son, George, in September last year.

"I have been on a health kick," Brady told the Daily Mail. "I became a grandma, and I wanted to be a fit healthy grandma, so I started eating healthy and exercising.

'I haven't joined [the Ozempic Club] - bloody hard work. It is okay losing it, it is keeping it off."

As a result of her dramatic transformation, Brady has been flooded with compliments over her appearance by stunned fans, with one even comparing her to singer and actress Jennifer Lopez.

"You look incredible," wrote one. "So very beautiful".

Another added: "For a second, I really thought it was a different person," while a third agreed and said: "You look amazing but like a completely different person.

"As long as you feel good, that’s all that matters. You was a beautiful woman before whatever treatment you have had and your beautiful now."

Brooke Day was snowboarding at Tsugaike Mountain Resort in Otari on Friday when she became stuck in a chairlift at the resort, with the lift buckle reportedly becoming tangled with her backpack as she tried to get off. It is understood she was then dragged along by the lift as it turned in the opposite direction, before it was stopped by a worker hitting an emergency button.

Ms Day is understood to have gone into cardiac arrest before being rushed to hospital, where she was tragically later confirmed dead.

The 22-year-old, from the Sunshine Coast, was reportedly working as a physio clinic receptionist in nearby Hakuba, around five miles away from the resort.

Back in Australia, she played for Queensland rugby club Nambour Toads, while she had recently stepped away from playing Aussie rules football.

In an emotional tribute, her former club Maroochydore Roos described her as a "little legend" and a "cherished teammate".

"It is with much heartbreak and sadness that we send out this tribute at the loss of one of the Roos family," a club statement read. "Recently whilst working and enjoying time in Japan and as a result of a tragic accident, Brooke Day lost her life.

"Brooke played with the Roos over her junior and senior football years. Only recently taking a step back due to injury. She was a talented young football player and cherished team mate.

"She was always a positive and vibrant part of the group, always had a smile on her face and despite various setbacks she never brought her disappointments to the side," the tribute continued.

"She was and will always be a much loved and valued member of the Roos family and be missed beyond measure."

In a statement following the accident, ski lift operator Tsugaike Gondola Lift Co said that a "buckle at the end of an unfastened waist belt attached to a backpack carried by a customer became caught in the lift carriage".

"Because the chest strap was fastened, the backpack remained attached to the body," the company said. "After disembarking the lift, the customer was dragged along with the backpack.

"Subsequently, staff pressed the stop button to halt the lift. Prompt rescue efforts were carried out, and the customer was transported by ambulance."

World Rugby confirmed the dates, venues, kick-off times and ticket prices for all 52 tournament matches on Sunday, with the competition set to be the biggest yet having been expanded to include 24 teams. Taking place across six weeks, the 2027 edition will also include a Round of 16 for the first time ever.

Wales have been drawn in Pool F alongside Zimbabwe, Tonga and England and will get their tournament underway against the former, with Steve Tandy's men taking on the African side at the Adelaide Oval on October 2.

They will then follow that up with a match against Tonga at Melbourne's Docklands Stadium on October 8, before facing England at Stadium Australia in Sydney on October 16. If they top the pool or finish as runners-up, knockout matches in either Perth or Sydney await Wales, while they could also play in either Brisbane or Melbourne if they qualify as one of the best-placed third place sides.

However, Welsh fans will have to be up in the middle of the night to watch their side get their tournament underway, with the Zimbabwe clash scheduled for a 12.15pm kick-off in Adelaide.

Due to the time difference between Australia and the UK, that means that fans back home will be tuning in to watch Tandy's side at 3.45am on Saturday morning.

All three of Wales' pool matches have been scheduled for morning kick-offs in the UK, with their clash with Tonga set to kick off at 6.15pm on a Friday in Melbourne (8.15am UK time).

Their crunch match with England, meanwhile, will kick-off at 7.45pm in Sydney (9.45 UK time) on a Saturday.

Elsewhere in the draw, hosts Australia will get the competition underway on October 1, as they take on tournament debutants Hong Kong China in Perth.

That particular fixture has seen tournament organisers receive heavy criticism from fans, who argued that it was a major mismatch which only served to short-change Wallabies supporters.

With New Zealand also in their pool, fans had hoped to see them face the hosts in a blockbuster opening match but have instead been left disappointed, with one supporter claiming they had been "misled".

Fans have taken to social media to share their frustrations at the scheduling, with one saying Wales' 3.45am clash with Zimbabwe "feels like a low reward experience".

Another sarcastically added: "All out passion. All out rivalry. At 3am, four days a week. Carnival!"

As for the underwhelming tournament opener, one fan wrote: "Opening match is a bit disappointing, considering NZ is right there," while another said: "Australia v Hong Kong China. Jesus. What are you doing??!"

A third claimed that the "first decent game is 9 days in," while another said there is "no viewing momentum during the pool stages."

However, World Rugby chair Brett Robinson has responded to the criticism surrounding the opening match, insisting that the governing body's role is to grow the game.

"Clearly people will have different opinions and the sides will have different opinions, but we've landed where we've landed," he told reporters.

"For me, the pools are this great opportunity where clearly we are going to have teams that are dominating, but we also have teams that are aspiring. That's our role as World Rugby, to build and grow our great global game."

After signing a new four-year deal for the free-to-air rights with ITV last year, five matches will be shown live on BBC One and iPlayer over the course of the championship, starting with Scotland's away trip to Italy on the opening weekend. Joining Logan will be a host of familiar faces from across the rugby world, with the corporation sticking with largely the same lineup of pundits as last year.

Former Wales and British & Irish Lions captain Sam Warburton and World Cup-winning England skipper Martin Johnson will be among the big names providing their expert analysis, with former Scotland star John Barclay also on board for another tournament.

Welsh legend Jonathan 'Jiffy' Davies will also return as part of the BBC team, having admitted last year that he could have worked on his last Six Nations match for the corporation amid uncertainty over the broadcast rights.

Scotland icon Chris Paterson and former Italy captain Sergio Parisse will also be involved as pundits, while there is a new signing in the shape of ex-England scrum-half Danny Care.

The 39-year-old, who retired from playing last year, has featured as a pundit and commentator for TNT Sports since hanging up his boots but has now joined the BBC team for the first time.

Ireland legend Ronan O'Gara and former France star Benjamin Kayser have also been included in the BBC's list of pundits for the upcoming tournament, having already been named as part of the ITV lineup earlier this week.

As in previous years, legendary Welsh referee Nigel Owens will also be part of the broadcaster's coverage, giving his expert opinion on the big officiating decisions.

Andrew Cotter will provide the TV commentary, while Sara Orchard, Al Eykyn and Gareth Rhys Owen will lend their voices to the BBC's highlights packages.

With Logan fronting the live matches, former England and Lions wing Ugo Monye will again present spin-off show Six Nations Rugby Special on Sunday evenings.

Wales internationals Alex Cuthbert and Philippa Tuttiett will be on co-commentary duties for coverage on BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra and BBC Sounds, with Matt Dawson, Chris Ashton, Tommy Bowe, Donncha O’Callaghan, Johnnie Beattie and Andy Nicol also on hand to summarise the action.

A statement from the BBC Press Office read: "The BBC will bring viewers live TV coverage of the men's Six Nations, plus extended highlights and analysis every Sunday night on Six Nations Rugby Special.

"Coverage begins with Italy v Scotland at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on Saturday 7 February on BBC One and iPlayer. Gabby Logan will lead the BBC’s TV coverage while Ugo Monye will present the Six Nations Rugby Special.

"The punditry line-up will include former British Lions captain Sam Warburton, England’s World Cup winning captain Martin Johnson and former Scotland captain John Barclay. Chris Paterson, Jonathan Davies, Danny Care, Ronan O’Gara, Sergio Parisse; Ben Kayser and Nigel Owens will also offer their expert analysis.

"TV commentary will be provided by Andrew Cotter. Sara Orchard, Al Eykyn and Gareth Rhys Owen will provide commentary for the highlights," the statement continued.

"The Rugby Union Weekly podcast returns and will be available daily, ensuring listeners are up to date with every twist and turn of the tournament. "

Rugby Football Union (RFU) officials are reported to have made the plans in a bid to increase their chances of being allowed to host major music concerts and other non-sporting events at the stadium. Doing so would allow them to fund the upgrades that they are looking to make to the home of English rugby, which are set to cost around £660 million.

The 82,000 capacity ground - known for sponsorship purposes as the Allianz Stadium - currently hosts three non-sporting events a year, but RFU chiefs plan to increase that amount to 15.

However, strong opposition to those plans from local residents saw it decided in October that the three-event limit would remain.

A sub-committee meeting reportedly saw just 13 out of 205 representations vote in favour of the RFU's proposals, with residents complaining about the antisocial behaviour they face from rugby fans and concert-goers, including people urinating against homes near the stadium.

"There are regularly drunken adults urinating on properties," one complaint from a resident read. "There is also shouting, swearing, and sometimes fighting in the streets.'

Now, the RFU reportedly plans on holding a drop-in session with local residents to share their proposals to improve the matchday experience for those living around Twickenham, where Wales will kick off their Six Nations campaign against England next month.

Those proposals include plain clothes officers being deployed around the stadium on matchdays as well as the introduction of civil enforcement officers to crack down on anti-social behaviour.

Other reported plans include such behaviour being punished via fixed penalty notices, while temporary barriers are also set to be put up in alleyways to prevent fan access.

Under the plans, Twickenham Station could also be revamped to allow twice as many passengers onto each train and avoid congestion in and around the station.

It comes after RFU boss Bill Sweeney said that hosting more non-sporting events was "essential" in allowing for reinvestment in Twickenham, adding that they plan to stay at the stadium having previously threatened to leave for new venues in either Milton Keynes or Birmingham.

"We've laid out very clearly for [Richmond council] what it means for us," he said. "Those events are essential for us if we're to reinvest in the stadium and the stadium needs reinvestment to keep pace with other stadiums.

'It's not a grandstanding negotiation tactic. We need those in order to justify the investment into the stadium. They understand that. They want us to stay. And our plan A is to stay.

"We contribute over £90m to the local economy and well over £100m to the greater London economy," Sweeney added. "They want us to stay here but purely from a financial validity point, it's essential we get those extra events. I'm confident."

The 33-year-old joined the French second-tier side ahead of the 2024/25 season and helped them to the Pro D2 semi-finals in his first campaign. However, North has seen his playing opportunities limited in his second season, featuring in just three matches before being called into head coach Philippe Saint-André's starting side for the first time in three months on Friday.

After taking to the field at the Stade Maurice-David, the Welsh Test centurion immediately got involved as his side took the lead after just two minutes, with Leo Drouet crossing to score.

A decoy run from North then opened up space for Caleb Muntz to find Sione Tui with a pinpoint cross-field kick over to the left wing, as Provence pulled further clear of their opponents. However, a disjointed end to the first half saw Aurillac cut the hosts' lead to four points before the break as Boris Hadinegoro weaved his way through the defence to score.

It was when the players returned to the field for the second half that things began to turn somewhat chaotic, as the heavens opened and a torrential downpour began.

The rain was so heavy it could be heard on live coverage of the match, pounding the gantry and television cameras as players tried to compose themselves in the conditions.

With lightning also reportedly striking near the stadium, French media described the conditions as "apocalyptic," with a report from local newspaper La Provence reading: "The weather gods didn't make things easy for the 30 players, the weather was atrocious, not fit for a rugby player... 80 crazy minutes, with rain, hail, thunder, and lightning."

Forced to go back to basics amid the biblical conditions, Malohi Suta powered over to give Provence some breathing room, before Giullaume Piazzoli secured the bonus point with a try shortly before the hour mark, making it 26-10 to the hosts.

That was to be the game's final score, but there was still time for another dramatic moment, as referee Remi Aiguebonne was knocked unconscious moments before full-time.

The official was stood by a ruck when he was caught in the jaw by the shoulder of Aurillac full-back Dachi Papunashvili, knocking him out and sending him crashing to the ground.

With the rain continuing to pour, Aiguebonne was treated on the field for several minutes before being helped off the pitch by medics, with assistant Berenice Loubet taking his position for the final moments of the match.

After the full-time whistle sounded, however, Provence boss Saint-André gave a positive update on the referee after a "crazy" evening, as he said: "He's fine. I saw him in the locker room.

"This evening has been crazy. I think he should have stopped the match when lightning was striking just a few meters from the stands. Afterwards, I'm happy with the boys' attitude and the attacking bonus point, even if I had to raise my voice at half-time."

Following the match, North took to social media to mark his return to action, as he wrote: "Been a minute….. wicked to be back on the pitch. Day for a duck I think!"

The 29-year-old, who spent four years with the Ospreys before leaving in 2024, had joined Bristol on a short-term contract over the last PREM Cup period in November. In what was his second spell with the English club, having previously spent three years at Ashton Gate, he featured twice in cup defeats to Bath and Exeter.

Having made the last of those two appearances at the end of November, Swansea-born Protheroe has now returned to Wales to rejoin his boyhood club Waunarlwydd and will line up for them again this weekend.

The club, who are currently fifth in the WRU's National League Division One West, announced the move ahead of their clash with Lampeter on Saturday afternoon.

"Big transfer news from Waunarlwydd RFC!" a post on the club's Facebook page read. "Our very own Matthew Protheroe is BACK HOME where it all began!

"Mat started his rugby journey right here with us from Under 8s, tearing it up on the local pitches before launching into an incredible professional career: Gloucester, Bristol Bears, Ospreys, and more.

"Now, after a brilliant pro stint, he’s returned to pull on the green and black once again for Waunarlwydd!" the post continued.

"Come support Mat and the lads as we take on Lampeter this Saturday. Family, friends, and rugby fans – let’s pack the ground and give Mat a hero’s welcome!"

Protheroe has been named at full-back for Waunarlwydd RFC's first XV in the mid-table clash, which kicks off at Roseland Road at 2.30pm.

While he was born in Swansea, the fleet-footed back was educated at Hartpury College, and after impressing for Hartpury RFC, later signed his first professional deal with Gloucester in 2015.

However, he would go on to leave his contract early by mutual agreement and join local rivals Bristol, before moving to Wales to join the Ospreys ahead of the 2020/21 season.

Protheroe made 42 appearances for the region, scoring 37 points, but departed at the end of the 2023/24 campaign before moving to New Zealand and representing Hawke's Bay in the National Provincial Championship.

He then returned to England to re-join Hartpury and play in last season's Premiership Rugby Cup and Gallagher Champ, before being parachuted in to provide injury cover for Bristol in the autumn.

Despite being Welsh-born, Protheroe has only represented England on the international stage, qualifying for their U18s and U20s sides between 2015 and 2017 through playing for an English club.
