Reform UK leader Nigel Farage announces the new leader of the party in Wales

He says he could have stayed quiet and "taken the money, or tell the truth and accept the consequences".

"I chose the truth," the Brecon and Radnorshire MS says, to applause.

He says he has been "blown away" by the support of people across his constituency and within the "Reform army".

"I want to say this, the last few weeks have not been easy. Telling the truth to power is rarely easy."

He thanks his family saying they had stood by him. "To my wife, thankyou very much darling, I wouldn't be here without you"

He addresses his previous, very public, criticism of Reform UK, saying "a wise person can change their mind".

I looked again, listened, read the detail, and saw a movement that has grown.

He says - again - Britain and Wales are "broken". "That is why I am here, I know exactly what happens next. I've seen this playbook before."

He says the "Welsh media bubble" will be rolling out his former clips to "destroy reputations".

Mr Evans, launches into a huge criticism of the media, to huge applause here in the room, that journalists are "left wing activists passing themselves off as journalists".
